The front of a greeting card. I took a piece of clip art, recolored it and broke it apart for the background. Then I found many languages for "Thank you" and put them in the various fonts for the background, as requested by the client. Most of it was done in InDesign.

My clients seemed excited about this piece because it captured what they were hoping for: a design in the style of the period, which was the 1860s. I did research to see what posters of that period looked like and laid it out accordingly, with appropriate fonts. It's not "good design" according to today's standards, but I was happy with how it turned out and the process that I used. Because of that, I have provided some explanations of the elements used in the following images.
